Current and former San Francisco 49ers players have courted Antonio Brown over the past six weeks, and that appears to be the destination that makes the most sense for the disgruntled Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver.
According to Bookmaker.eu, the 49ers are the favorite to land Brown, who formally has requested a trade. Bookmaker.eu has installed the 49ers as a +200 to acquire Brown in a trade.
San Francisco tight end George Kittle tagged Brown in a tweet shortly after the 2018 season concluded. And 49ers Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice has said in interviews that Browns wants to play in San Francisco.
The New York Jets, listed at +500, have the second-best odds of landing Brown, according to the betting site. Other potential suitors include the Oakland Raiders (+650), Miami Dolphins (+1,000), Dallas Cowboys (+1,300) and Indianapolis Colts (+1,500).
Despite Brown’s trade request, the Steelers remain listed at +350. Brown has played his entire nine-year career in Pittsburgh and resides in Miami, but he’s no stranger to the West Coast. Brown recently spent some time in California and attended the Grammy Awards on Sunday night in Beverly Hills.
