March Madness is coming to both IUP and Cal (Pa.).

Times two.

The Vulcans and Crimson Hawks men’s and women’s teams each made their respective NCAA Division II tournament brackets. The IUP men (29-2) are a No. 1 seed in the Atlantic region after winning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference tournament championship game Sunday. Cal (21-9) is a No. 3 seed.

IUP opens up against No. 8 seed Fayetteville State and Cal plays No. 6 Fairmont State in first-round games scheduled for Saturday.

Also in the men’s tournament in the Atlantic region are Mercyhurst (24-5) and West Liberty (29-2), who earned No. 4 and No. 2 seeds, respectively.

The Vulcans’ first-round NCAA opponent is a familiar one: IUP. The Crimson Hawks (21-8) are a No. 7 seed after placing fourth in the PSAC West and losing in the first round of the conference tournament. First-round games for the women begin Friday.
