Coming off just its second loss of the season, the Indiana University of Pennsylvania men’s basketball team dropped two spots to No. 6 in this week’s National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II poll released Tuesday.

The Crimson Hawks fell 64-63 to Mercyhurst on Saturday and are 19-2 overall and 12-2 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play. They opened the week Jan. 30 with an 85-72 victory at Seton Hill.

Northwest Missouri State (21-0) is the new No. 1 and the only undefeated team left in Division II. St. Edwards (20-1) moved up one spot to No. 2 with Bellarmine (18-1) dropping two spots to No. 3 after its first loss of the season.

South Carolina-Aiken (19-1) moved up two spots to No. 4, while West Liberty (W.Va.), at 17-2, sits right in front of IUP in the No. 5 spot.

The Crimson Hawks remain the only PSAC team in the rankings.
