IUP offering home fans chance at $50,000 in kickoff-return contest

If the IUP football team takes it to the house, somebody might have enough money to buy one.

IUP is offering $50,000 to a randomly picked fan if the Crimson Hawks return the opening kickoff for a touchdown to open the first or second half of any of its five home games this season.

A name will be drawn on the Tuesday morning during the week of a home regular-season game. The lucky fan will get two tickets to the game.

The contest, known as the Kick-For-Cash Giveaway and sponsored by Reschini Group, begins Aug. 15 and runs through Nov. 4.

Fans can enter the drawing, free of charge, by visiting the Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex box office, Big League Haircuts, Romeo’s Pizza, IUP Student Co-op, or CNB Bank – or online at WooBox.com.
