If it’s any consolation to Pittsburgh Steelers fans, at least speedy TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor will begin his NFL career in Pennsylvania.

It just will take place on the eastern part of the state, not the western.

Reagor, a 5-foot-11, 206-pound deep threat and presumed second-round pick, didn’t make it beyond the first day, getting drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles with the No. 21 overall selection.

Reagor was one wide receiver commonly associated with the Steelers in mock drafts for their No. 49 overall pick.

Reagor was the fourth wideout taken in the first round, following the Alabama duo of Henry Ruggs (No. 12 to Las Vegas) and Jerry Jeudy (No. 15 to Denver) and Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb (No. 17 to Dallas). LSU’s Justin Jefferson went No. 22 to Minnesota.

The sixth wide receiver to go in the round was Arizona State’s Brandon Aiyuk to San Francisco. The 49ers moved up six spots in a trade with Minnesota to grab Aiyuk.

Among the wide receivers that made it to Round 2 are Clemson’s Tee Higgins, USC’s Michael Pittman, Baylor’s Denzel Mims, Colorado’s Laviska Shenault Jr., Notre Dame’s Chase Claypool and Penn State’s KJ Hamler.

Just one running back was taken in the first round, and it was a bit of a surprise as Kansas City, with the final pick, took LSU’s Clyde Edwards-Helaire. That selection left Georgia’s D’Andre Swift, Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins, Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor and Florida State’s Cam Akers as the top running back prospects in the second round.

The highest-rated player available in the second round is Alabama safety Xavier McKinney. Also lasting to the second round was Penn State defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos.
