It appears increasingly likely that the Pittsburgh Steelers will be without running back Jaylen Warren for their next game, and that left guard Isaac Seumalo also might not return to the lineup.

Warren missed a second consecutive day of practice Thursday, according to the league-mandated injury report, after leaving this past Sunday’s win because of a knee injury.

The Steelers (3-0) have one more day of practice before Sunday’s game at the Indianapolis Colts (1-2).

The team hoped Seumalo would make his season debut that day, but despite hitting the practice field for the first time during the regular season this week, Seumalo has remained listed as limited in his participation.

If Seumalo cannot play, it is possible rookie Mason McCormick will make his first career start in his place. McCormick has been gaining on Spencer Anderson on the depth chart. Spencer started the first three games at left guard.

Starting strong safety DeShon Elliott (quadricep), veteran receiver Van Jefferson (eye) and rookie receiver Roman Wilson (ankle) remain listed on the injury report but were full practice participants Thursday.

Coach Mike Tomlin already had indicated that outside linebacker Alex Highsmith (groin) and tight end MyCole Pruitt (knee) would not play Sunday, and veteran Russell Wilson (calf) again would serve as the No. 3 “emergency” quarterback.

Special-teamer Miles Killebrew and utility skill player Cordarrelle Patterson joined veteran defensive lineman Cameron Heyward in getting a veteran’s day off for rest.
