Cornerback Joe Haden and offensive lineman B.J. Finney were among those who did not take part in the lone practice of the week for the Pittsburgh Steelers, putting their availability for Thursday night’s game very much in doubt.
The Steelers’ No. 1 cornerback, Haden would miss a fourth consecutive game because of a foot injury if he does not dress for Thursday’s game at the Minnesota Vikings.
“He’s still a little bit gimpy,” defensive coordinator Keith Butler said, “so I don’t know if we’re gonna have him.”
Finney started Sunday’s win against the Baltimore Ravens but was replaced after one series by John Leglue after Finney’s back injury apparently flared up. A veteran, Finney has been often listed on the injury report this season because of his back.
Ahkello Witherspoon made his first start for the Steelers on Sunday in place of Haden.
Also not taking part in what was effectively a walkthrough Tuesday were inside linebacker Robert Spillane and defensive lineman Isaiah Bugs, who each have a knee injury.
