Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden leaps to defends the Detroit Lions’ Kalif Raymond during a Nov. 14 game at Heinz Field. Haden suffered a foot injury during that contest and did not play the following week. But Haden did return to practice Thursday.

Joe Haden returned to practice for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, the first time the veteran cornerback took to the practice field since suffering a foot injury during a game two weeks ago.

Haden was listed as a limited participant on the league-mandated injury report, meaning Friday’s final practice of the week could determine if Haden will return to game action for Sunday’s AFC North game at the Cincinnati Bengals.

Also limited at the Thanksgiving late-morning practice was outside linebacker T.J. Watt, who suffered a hip/knee injury during a tie against the Detroit Lions on Nov. 14. He was likewise limited Wednesday.

Starting right guard Trai Turner (knee) and rookie reserve defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk (groin) were upgraded from Wednesday’s status. Turner went from “did not participate” to “full” participation, and Loudermilk went from “limited” to “full.”

Tight end Eric Ebron (knee) and fill-in starting left guard J.C. Hasenauer (pec) did not practice for the second consecutive day. An add to the injury report Thursday was defensive back Arthur Maulet, who did not practice because of illness.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was listed as a limited participant in Thursday practice, which is atypical. However, there is no reason to believe Roethlisberger’s status to play Sunday is in jeopardy.
