Pitt’s defeat Saturday at the hands of No. 9 Notre Dame is now a thing of the past, with a critical final two ACC games on deck for the Panthers.
Kickoff time and television details for the first of those two contests, next Saturday at Georgia Tech, was announced by the league, as the Panthers and Yellow Jackets will play at 7 p.m. on ESPN from Hyundai Field.
No. 23 Pitt (7-3, 5-1) must win out against Georgia Tech (9-1, 6-1) and Nov. 29 against No. 16 Miami to keep its ACC title aspirations alive.
The same day Pitt fell 37-15 to Notre Dame, Georgia Tech survived a scare by ACC cellar dweller Boston College, defeating the Eagles (1-10, 0-7) on a last-second field goal, 36-34.
Pitt and Georgia Tech have met a total of 15 times dating back to 1918, with Pitt owning an 11-4 all-time record against the Yellow Jackets.
Most recently, Pat Narduzzi and the Panthers stumbled against Georgia Tech in 2022, losing 26-21, but had won five of the six prior matchups between 2016-21.
