Pitt’s pivotal regular-season finale at home vs. No. 14 Miami on Saturday will be a noon kickoff televised nationally by ABC, the ACC announced Sunday morning.

For the Panthers (8-3, 6-1 ACC), a win against the Hurricanes at Acrisure Stadium is required to stay alive for the ACC title game Dec. 6.

Were Pitt to defeat Miami and either Virginia loses to Virginia Tech or SMU falls to Cal, the Panthers would make it to Charlotte, N.C., for their first championship appearance since 2021.

Miami (9-2, 5-2) also has a path to Charlotte, but needs to win at Pitt and get significant help from across the league.

Pitt finds itself in strong position — but not complete control of its own destiny — heading into the Miami game by virtue of upsetting No. 15 Georgia Tech, 42-28, on the road Saturday.

Miami dispatched Virginia Tech, 34-17, in Blacksburg, Va. on Saturday.

Pitt is 12-29 all-time against the Hurricanes, most recently winning on the road, 42-16, in 2022.

Miami had won the four prior meetings.

Under coach Pat Narduzzi, Pitt notably upset No. 2 Miami in the 2017 regular-season finale, 24-14.
