Pitt’s Oct. 18 game at Syracuse will kick off at 7:30 p.m. from the JMA Wireless Dome and be broadcast on the ACC Network, the league announced Monday morning.
The Panthers (3-2, 1-1 ACC) first do battle this upcoming weekend in Tallahassee vs. the 25th-ranked Florida State Seminoles, while the Orange (3-3, 1-2) are on a bye.
Pitt last hosted Syracuse on Oct. 24, 2024, and thumped the Orange, 41-13, behind pick-sixes from Rasheem Biles, Kyle Louis and Braylan Lovelace.
The Panthers hold a 44-33 all-time record vs. Syracuse, but are 19-22-3 on the road.
Syracuse has lost its last two games 38-3 to Duke and 31-18 to Southern Methodist.
Those struggles have corresponded with quarterback Steve Angeli suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 4 vs. Clemson.
Angeli, who led the Orange to a 3-1 start, has been replaced by Rickie Collins, who has thrown one touchdown and four interceptions, three of which came vs. SMU, since taking over under center.
Pitt’s contest vs. Syracuse will be the Panthers’ first ACC game not to kick off at noon.
