Starting strong safety Kyle Dugger was an addition to the Pittsburgh Steelers injury report Thursday, but Patrick Queen returned to practice and stars Aaron Rodgers and T.J. Watt participated fully.

Dugger was listed on the status report as having a hand injury. He practiced fully and had no designation Wednesday but did not practice at all Thursday. Dugger has played all but two of the Steelers’ defensive snaps over the past five games since he was acquired via trade from the New England Patriots.

An inside linebacker who likewise plays virtually every snap, Queen returned to practice after missing Wednesday’s session because of a glute injury suffered during Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Four-time NFL MVP Rodgers sat out Wednesday’s practice as he continues to deal with the wrist fracture suffered three weeks ago, but he is expected to start Sunday’s game at the Baltimore Ravens. Watt was listed as having a toe injury while he missed Wednesday’s practice, but it is not atypical for the 31-year-old outside linebacker to sit out a practice each week.

Pierre full, Porter limited

Starting cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was another addition to the injury report, earning a limited designation Thursday because of an elbow injury. But the player who started each of the past two games at the opposite starting outside cornerback, James Pierre, was a full participant four days after entering NFL concussion protocol during the Bills game.

Pierre was an upgrade from being listed as limited Wednesday.

Depth receiver Ben Skowronek remained limited because of his shoulder ailment.

2 out with new injuries

Cornerback Donte Kent and backup offensive tackle Calvin Anderson did not practice Thursday, a strong indication each suffered an injury during Wednesday’s practice. Kent was cleared to practice off the injured reserve list Wednesday — he had been out since August because of an ankle injury — but did not finish Wednesday’s practice because of a knee injury.

Anderson also has a knee injury.

Also Thursday, in an unusual designation, safety Jalen Ramsey sat out practice for a second consecutive day — listed for each as “not injury related — rest.”

It had been announced that defensive tackle Derrick Harmon would miss a second consecutive game because of a knee injury.
