Kyle Louis, Desmond Reid named 2nd-team All-Americans by The Athletic, CBS Sports
Kyle Louis and Desmond Reid, who were Pitt’s most consistent performers during the football season, were named second-team All-Americans on Wednesday by The Athletic and CBS Sports.
Louis, a first-time All-American, offered a little bit of everything from his outside linebacker position, compiling 96 tackles, 15½ for a loss, seven sacks, four interceptions and a forced fumble. He also intercepted a pass on a 2-point conversion.
Reid, also named an All-American in 2023 at Western Carolina, averaged 150.9 all-purpose yards per game (sixth nationally) and an ACC-best 12.3 yards per punt return (ninth).
He is the only player in the nation with at least 100 receiving yards and 50 rushing yards in three games. No other player has accomplished that feat since Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey did so in 2015.
