D3baseball.com released its All-America teams Tuesday, and La Roche senior Joe Professori, a Pine-Richland graduate, is a member of the first team.

The second baseman is the seventh Redhawk to earn All-American status and the second to make the nation’s first team.

Professori, in addition to his All-American status, was selected the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Year and picked up All-Region and All-Conference honors.

He led the AMCC in hits, home runs and total bases; ranked second in runs, batting average and slugging percentage; and was third in RBIs.

Professori, who broke the school’s all-time hits and RBI records this spring, finished the season with a .382 average (68 for 178). He scored 53 runs and collected 11 doubles, one triple, nine home runs and 47 RBIs to help La Roche capture the AMCC title and qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

Thiel senior outfielder Nick Fowkes, a Ringgold grad, was named to the fourth team.

He led the Presidents Athletic Conference in hitting (.447) and total hits (71) and finished second in RBIs (46) and total bases (107).

Fowkes added 15 doubles, three triples and five home runs.
