Pirates third baseman Jung Ho Kang rounds the bases after hitting a solo home run, as a storm looms overhead during the fifth ining against the Giants Saturday, April 20, 2019, at PNC Park.

The Pittsburgh Pirates and PNC Park are looking for some seasonal help and tweeted about a job fair being held this week.

No, they are not advertising for starting pitchers or bullpen help.

On Monday the Pirates posted to Twitter, “Want to work at PNC Park this summer? We’re holding a job fair this Thursday from 5-8 pm in the Left Field Lounge. You’ll be able to apply for open seasonal positions and interview in the same evening.”

Fans, or trolls, quickly pounced:

“Are you hiring any pitchers??”

“Pitching is a seasonal position although they are only paying minimum wages with benefits.”

“Would make sense if this is how we get pitchers like Kingham, Holmes, McRae, they pitch like scrubs we pulled off the streets”

“I’ll take the bait…anyone pitch?”

The Pirates pitching has suffered this season with starters Jameson Taillon and Trevor Williams having missed time and the several other pitchers including Nick Burdi, Rookie Davis, Keone Kela, and Chad Kuhl, landing on the injury list this season.

And the bullpen struggled this weekend in Milwaukee with the team getting swept by the Brewers.

But, if you are looking for a seasonal job with a chance to watch some baseball, head to the North Side and apply. But if you can pitch, you may want to mention that in the interview.
