Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury looks on from the bench during a game against Colorado on Nov. 24.

Marc-Andre Fleury, in what might be the final trip to PPG Paints Arena of his career, won’t start for the Minnesota Wild against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night.

Minnesota coach John Hynes said after morning skate that the team’s plan called for Filip Gustavsson playing Monday night in Pittsburgh and Fleury playing on the tail end of a back-to-back Tuesday night in Boston.

Gustavsson is on a hot streak, going 6-1 with a 1.26 goals-against average and .954 save percentage in his last seven appearances.

Fleury is 4-4 with a 3.19 GAA and .90 save percentage in eight career appearances against the Penguins.

Fleury, 39, has not announced his intentions to retire, but he is playing the final season of a two-year contract and the possibility exists that this will be his last visit to Pittsburgh as a player.
