Swin Cash, a basketball standout who won championships in high school, college, the WNBA and the Olympics, has been selected to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame.

The McKeesport native’s upcoming enshrinement, as well as the names of the other members of the Class of 2020, were revealed during Monday’s ESPN2 broadcast of the women’s game between Connecticut and South Carolina.

The group, which includes former Tennessee and WNBA star Tamika Catchings and WNBA champion Lauren Jackson, will be celebrated and inducted June 13 in Knoxville, Tenn.

This will be the 22nd class since the first was honored in 1999. There currently are 171 hall-of-fame members.

Cash, who now serves as the vice president of basketball operations and team development for the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans, has been honored numerous times for her basketball exploits, including induction to the WPIAL Hall of Fame in 2008 and the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.

She helped McKeesport win a WPIAL championship in her senior season in 1998, scoring 40 points and adding 21 rebounds in the Quad-A title game against North Allegheny. The Tigers capped that season in the PIAA Western Finals.

Cash finished her high school career with 2,678 points and 1,782 rebounds.

She is one of a select few to have won an NCAA title (Connecticut in 2000 and 2002) an Olympic gold medal (2004 and 2012) and a WNBA championship (2003, 2006 and 2010).

Cash earned WNBA all-star selection in 2003, 2005, 2009 and 2011.
