Minor league report: Anthony Angello's hat trick leads Penguins past Phantoms
Forward Anthony Angello’s first career hat trick led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-2 win against the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
Angello has six goals in his past six games and has scored six of the Penguins’ last eight goals over that span.
Forward Andrew Agozzino recorded three assists for the Penguins (16-12-3-1) while defenseman Pierre-Olivier Joseph added two assists.
Goaltender Casey DeSmith was credited with the victory after making 20 saves on 21 shots. He was pulled during the second intermission due to an illness and replaced by Dustin Tokarski who made seven saves on eight shots.

The Penguins’ next game is against the rival Hershey Bears at the Giant Center in Hershey on Saturday, 7 p.m.

Goaltender Jordan Ruby made 32 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 2-1 loss to the Toledo Walleye at the Huntingdon Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Forward Christopher Brown scored the lone goal for the Nailers (13-12-4-0).
