Minor league report: Corey Andonovski, Penguins extend winning streak to five games

A goal and an assist by forward Corey Andonovski led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 3-1 road win against the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at the PPL Center in Allentown on Friday. The victory extended a winning streak to five games.

Goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 22 saves on 23 shots for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (5-0-1-0) while forwards Valtteri Puustinen and Tyler Sikura each contributed goals.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Hershey Bears on Saturday, 7 p.m.

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 23 saves on 26 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 4-0 home loss to the Cincinnati Cyclones at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.

Wheeling (0-3-0) has yet to win a game this season.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Iowa Heartlanders on Sunday, 4:10 p.m.
