Minor league report: Forward Lukas Svejkovsky leads Nailers past Heartlanders

Forward Lukas Svejkovsky had two goals and an assist for the Wheeling Nailers in a 4-1 home win against the Iowa Heartlanders at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va. on Sunday.

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 28 saves on 29 shots in the victory, raising his record to 4-3-0 while forwards Matthew Querica and Evan Vierling each recorded two assists for Wheeling (8-7-0-0).

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Indy Fuel on Wednesday, 7 p.m.
