Forward Jesse Puljujarvi and defenseman Jack St. Ivany each had a goal and an assist for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 4-1 home win against the Hartford Wolf Pack at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Defenseman Ty Smith recorded two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (22-14-5-0) while forwards Alex Nylander and Sam Poulin each contributed a goal.

Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 27 saves on 28 shots to improve his record to 13-5-3.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Friday, 7:05 p.m.

Two goals — including one in overtime — by forward Lukas Svejkovsky led the the Wheeling Nailers to a 5-4 road win against the Reading Royals at Santander Arena in Reading.

Forward Jordan Martel had two goals and an assist for Wheeling (19-16-1-1), which has won three consecutive games, while forward Matt Koopman contributed a goal.

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 12 saves on 16 shots to boost his record to 12-11-1.

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Royals on Friday, 7 p.m.
