Minor league report: Joel Blomqvist’s win streak reaches 5 as Penguins beat Wolf Pack

Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 20 saves on 21 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 2-1 home win against the Hartford Wolf Pack at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Improving to 11-4-2, Blomqvist won his fifth consecutive game. During this stretch, Blomqvist has a 1.00 goals against average and a .962 save percentage.

Forwards Jonathan Gruden and Sam Poulin each scored goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (18-12-4-0).

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Providence Bruins on Friday, 7:05 p.m.
