Minor league report: Magnus Hellberg leads Penguins past Crunch

Goaltender Magnus Hellberg made 24 saves on 25 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 4-1 home win against the Syracuse Crunch at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

The result boosted Hellberg’s record to 4-3-0.

Forward Corey Andonovski and defenseman Dmitri Samorukov each recorded two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (12-9-3-0) while forwards Matt Filipe, Rem Pitlick, Austin Rueschhoff and defenseman Jack Rathbone all contributed goals.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Utica Comets on Friday, 7 p.m.
