Minor league report: Nailers beat Mavericks in overtime

An overtime goal by forward Myles Powell gave the Wheeling Nailers a 4-3 home win against the Kansas City Mavericks at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling on Tuesday.

Forward Graham Knott scored two goals for the Nailers (21-19-5-0) while forward Cam Brown added a goal and an assist. Goaltender Jordan Ruby made 27 saves in the victory.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is on the road against the Reading Royals at Santander Arena in Reading, Pa. on Saturday, 7 p.m.
