Minor league report: Nailers beaten by Cyclones

Forward Sam Houde had a goal and an assist for the Wheeling Nailers in an 8-5 road loss to the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati on Friday.

Goaltender Brody Claeys made 15 saves on 21 shots in the defeat for Wheeling (30-22-1-0) while forwards Bobby Hampton, Cam Hausinger, Brandon Saiegon and Patrick Watling all contributed goals.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Reading Royals on Saturday, 7:10 p.m.
