Minor league report: Nailers lose to Fuel

Playing their first game in two weeks, the Wheeling Nailers lost at home, 5-4, to the Indy Fuel on Saturday at the WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.

The Nailers had their past four games postponed due to covid-19-related concerns.

Forward Austin Fyten scored two goals for Wheeling while forwards Sean Josling and Patrick Watling each added two assists. Goaltender Brandon Halverson made 13 saves on 18 shots in the defeat.

The Nailers’ next game is at home against the Fuel on Sunday, 3:05 p.m.
