Minor league report: Nailers, Maxim Pavlenko shut out Royals

Goaltender Maxim Pavlenko made 32 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 4-0 win against the Reading Royals at Santander Arena in Reading on Wednesday.

The result was Pavlenko’s second shutout of the season at the ECHL level and boosted his record to 6-3-0.

Forwards Craig Armstrong, Max Graham and Ryan Mahshie all recorded two assists for Wheeling (15-3-1-0) while forwards Randy Hernandez, Logan Pietila, Zach Urdahl and Jack Works all scored a goal.

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Greensboro Gargoyles on Friday, 7:10 p.m.
