Minor league report: Nailers record 1st shutout of 2021-22

Goatlender Stefanos Lekkas made 29 saves and led the Wheeling Nailers to their first shutout of the season, a 2-0 road win against the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Defenseman Chris Ortiz scored each goal for Wheeling (19-16-1-0).

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Cyclones on Friday, 7:35 p.m.
