Minor league report: Nailers routed by Walleye, 8-1

Goaltender Emil Larmi made 28 saves on 34 shots for the Wheeling Nailers who were routed by the Toledo Walleye, 8-1, at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling on Sunday.

Lamri was replaced by goaltender Alex D’Orio for the final 12:28 of regulation. D’Orio allowed two goals on four shots.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is on the road against the Reading Royals at Santander Arena in Reading, Pa. on Friday, 7 p.m.
