Minor league report: Nailers, Sergei Murashov conquer Komets

Goaltender Sergei Murashov made a season-high 48 saves on 52 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 6-4 road win against the Forth Wayne Komets at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind., on Saturday.

Murashov improved his ECHL record to 6-2-0 as Wheeling (9-3-1-0) extended a winning streak to five games.

Forward Atley Calvert recorded a hat trick for the Nailers while forward Jack Beck contributed a goal and two assists.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Toledo Walleye on Wednesday, 7:10 p.m.
