Minor league report: Nailers shut out by Royals

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 31 saves on 32 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 1-0 loss to the Reading Royals at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va., on Wednesday.

The result dropped Gauthier’s record to 12-7-5.

Wheeling (34-16-3-3) has been shut out four times this season.

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Adirondack Thunder on Friday, 7:10 p.m.
