Minor league report: Nailers shut out Heartlanders in overtime win

A goal by forward Jarrett Lee at 2:59 of overtime gave the Wheeling Nailers a 1-0 road win against the Iowa Heartlanders at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa on Friday.

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 27 saves to record his fourth shutout of the season and boost his record to 23-17-1.

Friday’s result moved Wheeling (33-24-2-1) into second place of the ECHL’s Central Division.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Indy Fuel on Tuesday, 10:45 a.m.
