Minor league report: Nailers snap losing streak

A hat trick and an assist by forward Brooklyn Kalmikov led the Wheeling Nailers to an 8-4 road win against the Norfolk Admirals at the Norfolk (Va.) Scope Arena on Wednesday.

Forward Tyler Drevitch had two goals and an assist for Wheeling (24-30-5-0) while forward Gianluca Esteves contributed a goal and two assists. Goaltender Tommy Nappier made 25 saves on 29 shots in the victory that snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Nailers.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Admirals on Friday, 7:05 p.m.
