Minor league report: Nailers sunk by Walleye

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 21 saves on 25 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 6-3 road loss to the Toledo Walleye at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio on Sunday.

The result dropped Gauthier’s record to 9-6-0.

Forward James Hardie had a goal and an assist for Wheeling (28-12-2-0).

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Indy Fuel on Friday, 7 p.m.
