Minor league report: Nailers, Taylor Gauthier shut out Cyclones

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 18 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 2-0 win against the Cincinnati Cyclones at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va. on Friday.

The result was Gauthier’s second shutout of the season and boosted his record to 14-10-2.

Forward Jack Beck and defenseman Phip Waugh scored goals for Wheeling (37-23-3-1).

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Cyclones on Saturday, 7:10 p.m.
