Minor league report: Nailers top Fuel, advance to Central Division final

Forwards Justin Addamo and Matt Koopman each scored two goals for the Wheeling Nailers, who closed out a Central Division semifinal series with a 4-2 home win against the Indy Fuel in Game 5 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry on Saturday.

The Nailers won the best-of-seven series, 4-1.

Forward Lukas Svejkovsky recorded two assists for Wheeling while goaltender Jaxon Castor made 37 saves in the victory.

The Nailers will face the Toledo Walleye in the Central Division final series. The schedule for that round:

Game 1 – May 3 at Toledo, 7:15 p.m.

Game 2 – May 4 at Toledo, 7:15 p.m.

Game 3 – May 8 at Wheeling, 7:10 p.m.

Game 4 – May 10 at Wheeling, 7:10 p.m.
