Minor league report: Nailers’ win streak reaches 3

A pair of goals by forward Paul Posma led the Wheeling Nailers to a 3-1 win against the Rapid City Rush at The Monument in Rapid City, S.D., on Saturday.

Forward Tristan Thompson also scored a goal for Wheeling (34-15-3-3), which extended a winning streak to three games.

Goaltender Maxim Pavelenko improved his record to 13-9-0 by making 23 saves on 24 shots.

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Reading Royals on Wednesday, 10:45 a.m.
