Minor league report: Nathan Legare scores Penguins’ only goal in loss

Forward Nathan Legare scored the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins’ lone goal in a 5-1 home loss to the Bridgeport Islanders at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.

Goaltender Dustin Tokarski made 22 saves on 27 shots for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (10-6-1-2).

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the rival Hershey Bears on Sunday, 3 p.m.

Forward Justin Addamo and defenseman Josh Maniscalco each had a goal and an assist for the Wheeling Nailers in a 4-2 home win against the Fort Wayne Komets at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.

Goaltender Tommy Nappier made 26 saves for Wheeling (9-8-0-0).

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Toledo Walleye on Sunday, 4:10 p.m.
