Minor league report: Penguins beat Bears in shootout

Forward Logan Pietilla scored the lone goal in a shootout and gave the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 4-3 home preseason win against the rival Hershey Bears at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.

Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 17 saves on 20 shots in the victory while forward Matthew Quercia had a regulation goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Pietilla also recorded an assist.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game this preseason is a road contest against the Bears on Friday, 7 p.m.
