Minor league report: Penguins beat Bears with goal in final second

A goal by forward Marc Johnstone at 19:59 of the third period proved to be the game-winning score for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins who defeated the rival Hershey Bears, 2-1, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Forward Jansen Harkins and defenseman Dmitri Samorukov each recorded two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (5-4-0-0) while forward Alex Nylander contributed a goal.

Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 19 saves on 20 shots to improve his record to 4-2-0.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Belleville Senators on Saturday, 6:05 p.m.
