Goaltender Filip Larsson made 26 saves on 31 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-0 loss to the Providence Bruins at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, R.I. on Sunday.

The result dropped Larsson’s record to 2-3-1.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (12-6-1) was shut out for the second time this season.

A hat trick by forward Jordan Martel led the Wheeling Nailers to a 6-2 win against the Reading Royals at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.

The Nailers extended their winning streak to 11 games. The franchise record for longest winning streak — since the club moved to Wheeling in 1992 — is 12, shared by the 2003-04 and 2023-24 teams.

Forward Matty De St. Phalle had a goal and an assist for Wheeling (15-3-1-0) while forward Sam Houde contributed two assists.

Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 27 saves on 29 shots, boosting his record to 9-2-0.

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Royals on Friday, 7 p.m.
