Minor league report: Penguins blasted by Bruins
Forward Sam Poulin had a goal and an assist for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, who were routed by the Providence Bruins, 10-2, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
Goaltender Filip Larsson started the contest and absorbed the loss after he stopped 18 of 25 shots he faced. His record fell to 10-8-3.
He was replaced in the third period by Sergei Murashov, who made 12 saves on 15 shots.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (33-18-7-1) set a single-game season-high for goals against in the entire American Hockey League.

A goal by forward Jordan Martel at 3:43 of overtime gave the Wheeling Nailers a 3-2 win against the Toledo Walleye at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Forwards Gabe Klassen and Cole Tymkin also scored goals for Wheeling (36-21-3-1) while goaltender Taylor Gauthier stopped 36 of 38 shots to boost his record to 13-9-2.
