Forward Avery Hayes scored two goals, including one at 4:48 of overtime, for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 4-3 win against the Hartford Wolf Pack at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

The victory extended a winning streak to three games for the Penguins, who secured a playoff berth by earning a point.

Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 35 saves on 38 shots to remain undefeated in the American Hockey League this season (11-0-0). With the victory, Murashov tied John Curry (2008-09) for longest winning streak by a goaltender in team history.

Forward Tristan Broz recorded two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (36-18-7-1) while forwards Ville Koivunen and Valtteri Puustinen each contributed a goal.

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Charlotte Checkers on Saturday, 4 p.m.
