The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins’ second game of the season against the Utica Coments was suspended on Monday due to a power outage at the Utica (N.Y.) Memorial Auditorium.

Play was halted at 17:17 of the second period when the lights went out. The American Hockey League announced the game was suspended and would be completed at a later date to be determined.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (0-0-1-0) was trailing, 2-1, when play was stopped. Defenseman Ty Smith accounted for the Penguins’ only goal while goaltender Filip Lindberg made 12 saves on 14 shots in his first game of the season.

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Laval Rocket on Friday, 7:05 p.m.
