Minor league report: Penguins end road trip with overtime loss
Forward Valtteri Puustinen had two goals and an assist for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-4 overtime loss to the rival Hershey Bears at the Giant Center in Hershey on Saturday.
Linemates Ville Koivunen collected a goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (29-14-7-1) while Boris Katchouk recorded two assists.
Goaltender Tristan Jarry made made 31 saves on 36 shots as his record fell to 6-5-1.
Hershey forward Pierrick Dube scored the winning goal at 2:08 of the overtime period.
Highlights:
The Penguins wrapped up a seven-game road trip with a 3-2-2 mark. Their next game is a a home contest against the Belleville Senators on Tuesday, 7:05 p.m.
Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 26 saves on 32 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 7-4 home loss to the Adirondack Thunder at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.
The result dropped Murashov’s record to 17-7-1.
Forward Logan Pietila recorded two assists for Wheeling (32-17-2-0) while forwards Chrystopher Collin, Kyle Jackson, Eli Lieffers and Matthew Quercia all scored goals.
