Minor league report: Penguins fall to Bears, Nailers beat Walleye
Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 30 saves on 32 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 2-1 road loss to the rival Hershey Bears at the Giant Center in Hershey on Wednesday.
The result dropped Blomqvist’s record to 5-3-1 while forward Rem Pitlick scored the lone goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (8-6-2).

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against the Charlotte Checkers on Friday, 4 p.m.
Two goals by forward David Jankowski led the Wheeling Nailers to a 4-2 home win against the Toledo Walleye at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.
Forward Tanner Laderoute recorded two assists for Wheeling (7-5-0-0) while forward Jarrett Lee and Avery Winslow each contributed goals. Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 33 saves on 35 shots, improving his record to 3-2-0.
The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Cincinnati Cyclones on Friday, 1:35 p.m.
