Minor league report: Penguins fall to Phantoms in overtime

Goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 33 saves on 36 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 3-2 overtime loss to the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

The result dropped Blomqvist’s record to 16-7-5.

Forwards Jagger Joshua and Alex Nylander scored goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (26-17-7-1).

The Penguins’ next game is a road contest against Hershey Bears on Friday, 7 p.m.
