Minor league report: Penguins fall to Phantoms in overtime

Defenseman Owen Pickering scored his first career professional goal for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 4-3 overtime loss to the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at the PPL Center in Allentown on Wednesday.

Forwards Emil Bemstrom and Marc Johnstone also scored goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (8-3-1-0) while goaltender Filip Larsson made 35 saves on 39 shots as his record fell to 2-2-1.

Phantoms forward Olle Lycksell scored the winning goal at 1:06 of overtime.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Bridgeport Islanders on Saturday, 6:05 p.m.
