Forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard had two regulation goals and an assist for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 4-3 shootout loss to the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at the PPL Center in Allentown on Sunday.
Defenseman David Breazeale also scored a regulation goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (22-7-1-2).
Goaltender Joel Blomqvist saw his record slip to 5-2-2 after he made 35 saves on 38 shots in regulation and overtime, then allowed two goals on each shootout attempt he faced.
Penguins forwards Valtteri Puustinen and Philip Tomasino failed to score on their shootout attempts.
Highlights:
Penguins defenseman Matt Dumba was a healthy scratch for the second consecutive game after being involved in an automobile accident, according to the team’s radio broadcast. Dumba was not injured in the mishap but no further details were offered.
Also scratched on Sunday were defensemen Sebastian Aho and Daniel Laatsch, who suffered undisclosed injuries on Saturday. Both were labeled as “week to week.”
The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Charlotte Checkers on Tuesday, 7:05 p.m.
