Minor league report: Penguins fall to Rocket

Goaltender Louis Domingue made 20 saves on 24 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 5-3 road loss to the Laval Rocket at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec on Saturday.

Forwards Michael Chaput, Sam Poulin and defenseman Chris Bigras all scored goals for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (28-26-4-4).

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Hartford Wolf Pack on Wednesday, 7:05 p.m.

Forward Patrick Watling had a goal and three assists for the Wheeling Nailers in a 5-4 overtime home loss to the Indy Fuel at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.

Goaltender Louis-Philip Guindon made 25 saves on 30 shots for Wheeling (32-26-3-0) while forwards Justin Almeida and Sam Houde each contributed two assists.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Fort Wayne Komets on Sunday, 5 p.m.
